Gibraltar Point, January 2022. I had avoided looking for this bird in the depths of the Wash earlier in the month but when it popped up at Gib Point and was having the odd wash and brush up on Tennyson's Sands the 60 mile trip seemed worthy of effort. I first saw one in Lincolnshire courtesy of Martin Davies at Howden's Pullover in November 1984 followed by the two that wintered in the same area in 2006 - 2007 so it had been while since seeing one and they are a dapper little goose.
